"How to beat the winter blues? Spending two wonderful weeks of sun, sea, friendship and…learning in Barbados at the instigation of Jihane and her offer of Ocean Inspiration!
I knew very little about the Caribbean, in my mind all islands were lumped together like European countries are for Americans… We discovered Barbados more specifically but got an understanding about the other islands, their shared history, their differences, linguistic or otherwise, their traditions, their culture, their music, their food. So many angles were covered (including cricket and cannabis, who would have thought!) and it was like looking at everything through a different lens. The lecturers were excellent, charismatic, lively, friendly. And Jihane was the force which drove us, tirelessly suggesting new discoveries and experiences, sharing her passion and love for this beautiful island and its people. Such an inspiration!"

"A marvelous way to learn more about the Caribbean, its culture and its people and at the same time have a deep and enjoyable immersive experience while feeling like on holidays. Jihane took care of any virtual issue that could rise and solve it ahead of time."

"The whole experience exceeded my expectations by far. What an exquisite combination of leisure and learning !
I will not forget our trips around the island and in Bridgetown (very pleasant and knowledgeable tourist guide!), our early-bird work-out by the sea or evenings swimming, dining fresh fish at Oistins fish market (flying fish, sword fish, mahi mahi, lobster...) or drinking cocktails at Tiki bar, visiting various museums, watching marine wildlife scuba-diving, going places in fast buses blaring soca music, learning about the enslavement past in sugar plantations...
I felt deeply honoured with the quality of each member of the teaching staff, among the best in the country. They were deeply insightful and mind-opening, uncovering the Bajan perspective of the island’s society: language and literature, religion and politics, law and economics, meteorology and music, cooking and cricket!
A word about the person behind it all, Jihane. Knowing how well organized she is, I blindly signed up. But I also soon discovered a warm, humble, accommodating, and sensitive person. Undoubtedly, my trip to unveil Barbados would not have been so enriching without her."

"A very enriching experience, in terms of what we learned about the history and the culture, but also at a human level. All the teachers and the staff were very keen to share with us their way of life and customs. And also all the people in the city were extremely kind and willing to help in any way. I came back considering myself very lucky for having the opportunity of living this amazing experience; having the chance to share beautiful moments with my classmates; living experiences and moments that, as an average tourist, you can not have, and learning that the Caribbean is much more than crystal waters".
